  1. ​Preparation:​​ Bevel pipe ends to the correct angle (37.5°). Meticulously clean all surfaces with a dedicated stainless steel brush and solvent.
  2. ​Alignment & Tack Welding:​​ Ensure perfect alignment and use tack welds to secure the fitting.
  3. ​Welding Process (TIG Recommended):​​ Use the correct filler metal (ER308 for 304, ER316 for 316).
  4. ​Gas Purging (Essential):​​ Use argon backing gas on the inside of the weld joint to prevent "sugaring" (oxidation), which destroys corrosion resistance.
  5. ​Heat Control:​​ Use low heat input to minimize the heat-affected zone and prevent distortion.
  6. ​Post-Weld Treatment:​​ Remove heat tint by pickling and passivation to restore the protective oxide layer.
